About 566 B.C, Sakyamuni was born in the royal family of Kapilavastu.

In 537 B.C, Sakyamuni became a monk.
In 531 B.C, Sakyamuni was enlightened in Bodh Gaya and created Buddhism.
In 486 B.C, Sakyamuni died in Kushinagar .


Southern Buddhism:

In the 3rd century B.C, Buddhism was spread to Sri Lanka from India.
In the 3rd century B.C, Ashoka dispatched envoys to take Buddhism to Burma.
In the 3rd century B.C, Theravada Buddhism was transmitted to Thailand.
In the 2nd century B.C, Theravada Buddhism was transmitted to Yunnan, China.
In about the 7th century, Buddhism was spread to Laos.
In about the 9th century, Mahayana was taken to Cambodia.
In the beginning of the 19th century, Buddhism was spread to Germany.
In the mid 19th century, Buddhism was taken to Britain.
In the second half of the 19th century, Buddhism was spread to France. 


Northern Buddhism:
In the Common Era, Buddhism was spread to China from India. 
In the beginning of the 2nd century, Buddhism was spread to Vietnam from China. 
In the second half of the 4th century, Buddhism was spread to North Korea. 
In the 5th century, Buddhism was spread to Indonesia. 
In the 5th century, Buddhism was transmitted to Malaysia. 
In the 6th century, Buddhism was transmitted to Japan.
In the 12th century, Buddhism was spread to Taiwan, China. 
In the mid 19th century, Buddhism was taken to the US.
In the end of the 19th century, Buddhism was introduced to Canada.
In the 20th century, Buddhism was introduced to Hong Kong and Macau of China. 
In the first half of the 20th century, Buddhism was introduced to the Philippines. 
In the 1950s, Buddhism was transmitted to Mexico. 
In the 1980s, Buddhism was introduced to South America. 
In the 1990s, Buddhism was introduced to Africa. 


Tibetan Buddhism:

In 520 B.C, Buddhism was rooted in Nepal. 
In the 5th century, Buddhism was introduced to Tibet, China. 
In the mid 7th century, Buddhism was spread to the Kingdom of Bhutan. 
In the beginning of the 13th century, Buddhism was introduced to Mongolia. 

In the 17th century, Buddhism was spread to Russia.
